DIY Wedding Favours Ideas

If your budget is tight, gather your bridesmaids together and plan a DIY favour party!  There really is no reason why you can't create something spectacular yourself with a bit of crafty and thrifty thinking.  Here's some ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

• Seed packet wedding favours are a cheap and cheerful choice. These favours suggest new growth and blooming love, just as the wedding marks the beginning of your new life together and the growth of your family.
• What's a wedding without love songs? Burn CDs of your favourite romantic songs, including the song you've chosen for your bridal waltz and pop on a gorgeous personalised CD cover.
• For the culinary couple, try hand made recipe books complete with the recipes you've enjoyed cooking together.
• Sweet treats as always a hit. Guests appreciate the personal touch of homemade jam presented with ribbons or raffia; or bomboniere chocolate hearts or shortbread cookies frosted with your monogrammed initials. Remember: it will take time and energy to make this happen, so call on friends and family to help.

• Consider making a donation to a charity. Print out cards, or bookmarks, which tell them that you've donated money in their honor. Or buy a lottery ticket for each guest and hope that someone wins big on your special day!
