Ideas for Christmas Games for Kids

Like food and gifts, the meanings behind Christmas are plentiful. For the super religious, it’s about being thankful to their Lord and saviour. For the more secular amongst us, it’s about presents, decorations and indulgent meals. But no matter where you stand on the religion scale, one thing we can all agree on is that the festive season is a time to be spent with family, and often that means spending time with children. And kids love it when the adults humour the kids with a bit of child’s play, so kick off those shoes and embrace your inner child with these fun games.    more »

Fun at the Fair Party Ideas

Decorate the area with streamers, bunting, fairy lights (not only around the room but along the bridal table, under a white tablecloth) and paper lanterns in various shapes, sizes and colours. Display vintage fair ground posters around the room on easels. Have a balloon stand near the entrance and as the guests arrive, they are each given a bright coloured balloon and party popper. Use bright table cloths of pink, blue, green, red, yellow, orange, gold and black. For the table centrepieces make your own with Styrofoam ball/block in which you set a bouquet of little balloons and party pin wheels.   more »

Make the party food bright and colourful, but call it “Invisible Food” like in the movie Hook with Robin Williams. The Lost Boys sit down to what looks like an empty table and using their imagination come up with the most amazing and fun food which they then turn into a food fight. Set the table with this fantastic Pirate Ship centre piece and on each end of the table the Jolly Roger decorations.   more »
