Wedding Ringing in the New Year

heartfireworks.jpg

Has anyone put their New Year resolutions together now? I have begun to think about mine, but have not set anything down yet. Every year I write down to eat healthy and exercise. This time I am considering learning something new like Cheerleading or dancing (me in lycra – tee hee!) It is a new beginning, a chance to wipe the slate and start anew. Every New Year’s Eve brides and grooms all over the world get ready to start the New Year with the ultimate resolution - The Wedding Vow Resolution. The weather at that time of the year here makes for beautiful warm nights. Many receptions wind up with the big kiss at midnight and then the newlyweds can slip away ready to start the New Year with a honey moon. There are fireworks, sparklers, streamers as the world gets ready to ring in the New Year with the big countdown. You can celebrate out on a boat in Sydney Harbour, or on a quiet stretch of beach on one of our beautiful island retreats.

New Year’s Eve calls for bright colours, lights and lots of noise! I am yet to attend a NYE wedding so any of my engaged and single friends reading this – TAKE NOTE! I would love to go to a NYE wedding. In fact, I have not been to a NYE party since ringing in the New Year back in 2005 BK (Before Kids). I suppose some things you would need to consider when planning an NYE wedding is the availability of locations – some places book up very quickly for parties, and some venues and service providers may increase their prices because it is a holiday and a popular date for weddings. Also, depending on the location, you may have some unwanted party-goers stumble in on your reception (if it is in a public area or a large function venue). It is a popular time for weddings and every year you see news programs running stories on these beautiful weddings. It is all very exciting and seriously a cool way to celebrate.

Whatever your style, whether it be a high end affair at an exclusive location or in the back yard, an NYE wedding would be some serious fun, plus where ever you may be there is bound to be fireworks going off so you could end up lucky enough in enjoying a light spectacular free of charge! Dress up your look with sparkly jewels that will catch the lights and make you sparkle like a firework. Have your own version of the NYE Disco Ball that runs the countdown in New York. Kit out the reception with a rainbow of colours and sparklers on your wedding cake. What NYE wedding would be complete without the traditional Auld Lang Syne as midnight tolls and everyone smooches and makes mental notes to start that diet the next morning. Diets! That’s it, make your food absolutely decadent, spoil your guests cause guaranteed there will be quite a few with the resolution looming over them that come the 1st January they will eat healthier, exercise more and drink less alcohol so show them you love them by giving them the end of 2011 on a plate of all things delicious and naughty. Oh go for a candy buffet! The ultimate sweet tooth indulgence before midnight!

For putting together your wedding celebrations, Pink Frosting stocks a wonderful range of bright and sparkly products that will make your NYE Wedding heaps of fun and spectacular!
