Trends in Wedding Table Centrepieces

pure-lattedecpinkroses.jpg

Couples are steering away from the traditional flower centrepiece at weddings. Instead, centrepieces are becoming truly funky and unique, adding an extra touch of individualism and charm to an event. Here we have compiled a list of beautiful trends in wedding centrepieces. Have a browse and be inspired.

Sweet Treat

Fill an elegant Brandy Balloon Vase with some truly tempting treats. Coordinate your candy to match your wedding’s colour scheme for a lovely touch of glamour - and deliciousness. Guests can nibble as they await the entrance of the new couple.

Little Fish

Having a little swimming friend on each table is a cute and simple touch of charm. Line the base of a Fish Bowl Vase with clear diamond scatters or glass marbles and let a goldfish bob along happily in front of champagne-sipping guests.

Cupcake Paradise

This is another elegant idea trending with the sweet-tooth bride and groom. Place a mini cupcake stand in the centre of each table and fill with delicious miniature cupcakes complete with pretty lace baking wrappers. The flavour of the cake and colour of the icing is entirely up to you! Double chocolate with a choc-orange ganache? Strawberry sponge with a buttery vanilla frosting? Get creative.

Lovely Lantern

The simplicity of the candle centrepiece has been reinvented with a chic lantern. Large or small, black or white - a lantern creates a warm glow at each table. Spread some clear acrylic diamond scatters around each lantern for a pretty touch - they’ll reflect the soft light and look extra sparkly.

Beach Simplicity

For a beach wedding, or any outdoor reception, a sophisticated centrepiece can be created by filling a simple vase with coloured sand, shells or smooth stones. A silk ribbon tied around the base of the vase can match your colour scheme.

Timeless Snaps

Grab a short, wide vase and fill it with smooth pebbles or stones. On top, place a silver music note photo holder, with its base buried securely in the pebbles, and find old photos of the bride and groom. Placing a couple of tea lights around the photo holder will beautifully illuminate the picture. Not only is this centrepiece simply pretty, it’ll be a conversation starter for guests who will be able to discuss the old memories from the photos, and how the bride and groom have changed.

Fancy Favours

Instead of having wedding favours tucked neatly to one side of the room, or sitting at each guest’s place setting, grab a gorgeous cake stand and stack favours in a simple pyramid shape in the centre of each table. With favours in pretty boxes with little bows and individual name tags, they make the sweetest centrepiece.

Rise To The Occasion

Having one single balloon rising from each table looks amazing as guests enter the room. Anchor each balloon’s string in a small vase of pebbles or scatters, and choose balloons in soft hues to match your décor. A cost-effective centrepiece, this one is simple and glamorous.

Use these ideas as inspiration to find a centrepiece that represents you, your interests and personality as a couple that your guests will remember.
