To Evite or Invite?

The much loved and appreciated received in the mail invite is becoming a rarity. I’ve noticed that with social networking sites I am receiving party invites via e-mail notification and well, whilst I can see the upside to it – person inviting you may not have your address, is pressed for time to punch out hand written invites, so for them it is simple to send a group invite out. It is, however a touch sad as I love nothing more than receiving a party invite in the mail. A pretty envelope in the letter box and an even prettier invitation inside the envelope is just lovely. It is personal. It is tangible and if the planner is awesome, it also has a little fridge magnet attached to the back. I love that idea and have a fridge magnet invitation that is over two years old simply because it is

a.) A cute invite and

b.) A fridge magnet!

If you love doing things BSNS (Before Social Networking Sites) and hand writing out names (although with a few adjustments I am sure you can find a way to have them printed up) there is much fun to be had in choosing the right invitation for your party. There are colours, styles, themes and embellishments to choose from Australia's #1 Party Shop who stocks invites to cover invitations for Adults parties, Children's parties and Thank You cards and notes. If the party you are planning is for a child, let them help you pick the invitations, write them up and pop them in the post or hand them out to their friends at school. The brighter and bubblier the invitation, the more it stands out – especially if you attach a fridge magnet to the back! I love that idea! If it appeals to the child they will wave it about until they actually walk into the party. Last year my daughter received beautiful princesses’ themed invite which she has stowed away in her collection of treasures.

That is the other thing with invitations; they become keepsakes if they are for a special milestone or occasion. Pink Frosting has received gorgeous new designs by Cristina Re for you to choose from. If you are planning a party there is a great selection of party invites that you can make your own to suit your occasion. For christenings, naming day ceremonies or first birthday parties send out these adorable baby elephant invitations, they come with little magnets to stick onto the back of them! If you are hosting a party plan get together with a group of girlfriends, it is the perfect opportunity to put on a sweet tea party and your guests will adore these super cute and girly Teacups Tea Party Invitations. So pretty and will set the tone for the Ladies Who Lunch.

If Butterflies are your thing, your guests will flutter with delight upon receiving theses dainty designed invites. To set the tone for a classic Whodunit? Murder mystery dinner; invite people with either the Classic or Art Deco invitations. Actually a Whodunit? Murder mystery dinner sounds like a great idea! Have your guests come in character – address the invite to their assigned characters. I’d be a Miss Scarlett O’Shea, in the library with the Encyclopaedia Britannica. Just a thought! Anyway these divine design invitations all come with magnets which will help to reduce the chance of the invitation being misplaced somewhere in the house or diary – on the fridge it is there for you to look at every time you open the fridge, reminding you to RSVP and of course attend on time and on the right day.

Pink Frosting has taken the time to select these beautiful invites, knowing only the best will do for their customers. Make sure you don’t miss your chance to pick up a Cristina Re invitation set; they are so pretty I am positive they will prove very popular! Bring back the party invitation!
