The Perfect Irish Coffee Recipe

There is no better way to end a dinner party than with an Irish Coffee.  Your guests will appreciate the smooth and warming flavour after a beautiful meal.  You can serve Irish Coffee in a traditional coffee mug, but we love the drama of serving it in a glass coffee mug.  Delicious and very beautiful.

42ml Irish whisky
double espresso (hot - just made)
56ml boiling water
dash of sugar syrup
7ml heavy or double cream

Pour the whisky, espresso, water and sugar syrup into your glass.  Stir well.  Float the cream on top.  Bartenders and baristers use the trick of pouring the cream over the back of a spoon onto the drink to get it to float on top.  Garnish with coffee beans or leave completely alone!

If you are not a whisky fan, you can also try this with tequila, brandy or Bailey's for an alternative.
