Kids Party Invitations Ideas

There's not a child alive who doesn't delight in receiving fun party invitations through the mail!  Party invitations are the best way to set the scene for your child's birthday party and let your guests know what they can expect.  Here's what you need to consider:

  • Choose party invitations that reflect the theme of your party. Co-ordinate your invitations with loot bags, lolly bag tags and thank you cards for maximum impact! The Pink Frosting online kids party shop has such an extensive range of party stationery, you are sure to find what you need for your theme.
  • Or, if you're crafty or on a budget, consider making your own. Some websites provide basic instructions on how to make your own free printable kids birthday invitations and envelopes. All you need is a computer, colour printer and a glue stick.
  • Invitations should be mailed out 3 weeks before your party date. Include details such as date, time, venue, RSVP and whether or not it's a ‘drop off' party or whether parents are invited (or expected) to stay. It is often helpful to include directions to the birthday party location on a separate slip of paper to avoid late or lost guest arrivals.
  • Keep a complete list of invited guests near the phone so that you can tick off your attendance list as the RSVPs roll in. Remember to call the guests who haven't responded one week before the party date for final numbers.
