Best of Wishes

I have two Wedding Guest books. Yep two! Both books are filled with lovely messages – majority of them being about babies, a few demands as to when we should start having babies by and how many they would like and what their names should be; interesting to note that our baby names shared the same names of our wedding guests! There was the odd “Congratulations on your wedding, beautiful day, great food! P.S. I fully expect to be the favourite Aunt/Uncle when you start having children, which you should be starting as of NOW because I don’t want to be ancient when my nieces and nephews come along” and then those who obviously read the message and stipulated that they be the favourite over the other person (all in good fun of course!).

But there were many well wishes and good lucks that we will cherish and be able to show our children when they are older. A wedding book is a lovely thing to have at the wedding, but now it does not have to be an open and shut book!

I have been to weddings where they have had a lovely photo set up with a white border for guests to write on. After the wedding they place a wedding photo in the centre and they can frame it and display it in their home for everyone to see. Other ideas I have come across is a large canvas for well wishes, a table set up with pretty little cards and a little box or jar and the guests write their well wishes and blessings and pop it in the box for the Bride and Groom to read through when they get back to their room…okay for them to read when they get home (seriously who is reading after their reception?). An area of the reception can have string up in place and you write on a card and peg it to the line – you could use bunting for this also.

If you are super crafty, make up a Wedding Guest Scrap Book filled with photos of you and your loved ones, detailing the journey to your wedding day. There are also signature vases or plates and platters for the smaller events and parties.

However if you are a firm fan of the Wedding Guest Book, there are so many styles available, you can tailor your book to reflect your personality and to match your wedding theme and have as many pages you think necessary for future aunts, uncles and grandparents to set out their demands. Oh another thing to keep in mind is make sure you have the right type of pen. You can’t sign a platter with a standard biro. Also make sure you have replacement pens should the original pen run out of ink or go for a wander with one of your guests! The last thing you want to be worrying about is trying to track down another pen so your friends and family can continue writing their breeding demands.

So there are things that you can have which you can keep away for your eyes only or have on display for people to see. Pink Frosting are hot on the pulse of what is in for weddings and contain a wonderful range of wedding guest books and other personalised memorabilia for your guests to sign and wedding guest signature frames.
