Best Honeymoons in Asia

asianbeachhoneymoon.jpg

With 2011 coming to an end, many people are heading away on their summer holidays.  However, if you are a bride-to-be, there’s a good chance you are sacrificing your well deserved end of year getaway due to your plans to enjoy a wonderful romantic honeymoon after your upcoming wedding.  Am I right? Well to make you a feel a little bit better, Australia’s #1 online party shop Pink Frosting has some more fabulous honeymoon ideas for you.  And this time we’re heading to Asia! So get the honeymoon planner out and take notes on these delightful Asian honeymoon destinations.

Phuket, Thailand

A popular destination among those seeking an affordable overseas honeymoon by the beach, Phuket is famous for relaxation, sun, sand and endless activities to keep you busy.  The best activities Phuket has on offer include sailing and cruises, white water rafting and elephant rides!  The hot season is the best time to visit from November through to April.

Boracay, the Philippines

Boracay is a well know island located to the south of Manila and has one of the beaches in the world.  People tend to visit the island for the range water sports available such as snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing and kite boarding and hosts the Asian Windsurfing Tour.  Weather in Boracay is lovely with daytime temperatures averaging the high 20s and low 30s.

Sentosa, Singapore

Known as ‘Asia’s favourite playground’, the island of Sentosa is famous for exploring flora and fauna along with first class lookouts, towers and views that will leave you speechless.  The accommodation options are endless with family friendly beaches to rest and relax on.  Sentosa is a very safe place to travel with speed limits capped at 40 kmh and motorcycles banned.  A great honeymoon spot for newlyweds who are taking their children with them.

Bali, Indonesia

An overseas destination not too far from Australia is the lovely Bali.  Bali’s beaches are fantastic for surfing, swimming or just laying by the water.  Bali is best visited during the dry season from April to October and depending on where you stay, beach chairs can be rented for the day.  For a fun experience, get your hair braided from one of the locals.

The Maldives

Private bungalows, spa treatments, candlelit dinners and private beaches are just some of the five star experiences you will have on your honeymoon in the Maldives.  Surfing is the star attraction in the Maldives from June to September with waves reaching 8 feet so if surfing is a favourite past time, this is the perfect place for your honeymoon.  Night fishing is a popular activity and there are hundreds of uninhabited islands to explore.

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Fans of television’s Sex and the City (SATC) will know that Carrie and the girls headed to Abu Dhabi in the second SATC movie.  An elaborate and luxurious place with a cosmopolitan lifestyle, Abu Dhabi has everything a normal city has.  The difference with Abu Dhabi is the dominant Islamic culture where tourists stand out a mile.  Locals dress conservatively so do not head to Abu Dhabi if you intend on spending your honeymoon in a bikini all day.

Now that you’re all inspired and ready to hit an exotic Asian location for your upcoming honeymoon, we better leave you and your husband-to-be to decide which of these exciting places you’d like to travel to.  Pink Frosting has loved giving our gorgeous customers a honeymoon extravaganza so good luck with your honeymoon.  We’d like to join you by hiding in your suitcase but we’ll just have to settle for a postcard!
